Rodger Premeau, ChFC, CLU, CRPC, RICP holds the title of Retirement Planning Specialist with the Wisconsin Branch of Equitable Advisors. He fills a unique role in the branch that matches his unique path into the industry.
Rodger graduated from UW-Madison in 1997 with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. He spent six years working as an Application Engineer with the Software Company PTC. He primarily assisted engineering departments in developing internal best practices for using the software. In 2003, Rodger left PTC and began the licensing process to join the Financial Services industry. In 2004, he contracted with American Express Financial Advisors, now Ameriprise, as a financial advisor. In 2005, he earned his first designation, Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor, CRPC, from the College for Financial Planning. In 2006, Rodger, looking for a better fit for his abilities, decided to leave Ameriprise and joined the Wisconsin Branch of AXA. In 2020, the name changed to Equitable Advisors. Rodger is employed ol as a Financial Professional, Trainer, Product Consultant, and Advanced Markets Specialist in the Wisconsin Branch.
In August of 2007, Rodger earned a Certificate in Retirement Planning from the Prestigious Wharton Business School at University of Pennsylvania. Upon completion, he was awarded the Title of Retirement Planning Specialist. To maintain the title, he completes an annual continuing education requirement and attends the Bi-annual retirement summit held on the Wharton Campus. In 2011, Rodger completed the coursework necessary to obtain the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) designation from the American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. In August 2013, Rodger completed the additional coursework necessary to earn the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) from the American College. Most recently, in February of 2017, he completed additional studies and earned the Registered Income Certified Professional (RICP®) designation. Beyond the designations, he holds Life and Health insurance licenses and has passed FINRA series 7, 66, and 24 examinations.
Today, Rodger's primary role is as an Advisor's Advisor. He maintains a small list of personal clients, but he spends most of his time assisting other advisors in Wisconsin and throughout Equitable analyze complex client situations and develop appropriate strategies. He specialized in the areas of Estate Planning, Retirement Income Planning, Business Owner Concerns, Tax Management Strategies, and Risk Management. He also conducts regular training sessions for new and experienced financial professionals.
Rodger is Wisconsin born, raised and educated. He currently lives in Waukesha with his wife and three children. When he's not working, studying, or spending time with his family, he enjoys reading science fiction, cooking, baking and building computers or other electronic gadgets.
